Ken told us about the Spanish hospitality and the fantastic way they look after each other. Thanks for a great couple of weeksin the sun and 30% heat! In October!! Exceptional hosting skills in a beautiful setting. Granada is a magnificant place too. And we think they should start doing free Tapas in English bars! We found the best bars/restaurants in Granada to be the smaller ones without outside seating, Los Manuelas & La Guava are both good. Thanks for your efforts Chris and Joe UK October 2009
Thank you Ken and Mary Ann for a lovely relaxing week. Good food great hospitality. Location is fabulous and stunning views from the roof terrace. Love the room and shower, Sally and Smokieare great as well. Katherine UK October 2009

Nothing was ever too much trouble and you certainly went beyond the call of duty to help us with advise of local attractions, booking tickets etc etc.You have both made my round the world trip very special as I have wonderful memories to look back on this lovely slice of heaven. Long may you enjoy this special life style you have created for yourselves and others. Love Anna. Australia Sept 2009.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay! We have felt very much "at home" in your comfortable home. We have very much appreciated your help, warmth and hospitality. Thanks. Best wishes Edwin and Maureen Howard. Manchester Sept 2009
Thanks so much for letting us stay with you in this beautiful town. The rooms were very comfortable with a view of the hills we can share with our friends in pictures. Anyone who stays should be sure to ask for the collection of walks, we did the trek up to Lecrin Castle - great spot. Have to confess that we stole an orange from a tree on the way back, not too much harm done. We're from Canada where the streets are a little wider - adventure in parking for us. Thank you so much for your hospitality and best of luck for the future. Laura May and Joe Toronto Canada June 2007
There's nothing better than to "come home" after a 30km walk, all dusty tired and stiff, and to find yourself in such a welcoming place, and having a rosado and a delicious paella. Now fully recovered after a peaceful night of sleep and a powerful breakfast we continue our journey with an extra sweet memory in our back packs! Thanks so much. Steven and Gitte Amsterdam May 2007
What a wonderful place the Lecrin Valley is, the constant panoramic views at every turn of the road and of course the laid back Andalucian people, always ready "hola-ing" and a smile when you pass. Ken and Mary Ann were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much to ask of them. We both look forward to our next stay in the charming town of Albunuelas. Many thanks. Carle and Anj.XX. Birmingham April 2007
Had a great time away from the stress of the UK. Great fishing for wild carp, wonderful sport. Certainly consider returning in the future. John Ball & Tony Copson May 2007
Just what we hoped for after a 30km walk. (Almost) forgetting the pain in our muscels with a welcoming cup of tea and ah! an excellent dinner. We loved the cosy village and this cosy Casa Azul with you. Many greetings.
Juath and Carola. Rotterdam. The Netherlands Feb 2007
Thank you so much Ken and Mary Ann, Sally and Smokey. A very warm welcome start to a wonderful few days. A beautiful home and area that next time needs more investigating and fishing. Can't wait to return again, hopefully in May for the Orange Festival. Muchas gracias

Lecrin Valley in Febuary when all the almond blossom is out is even more beautiful than I remembered. Thank you so much Mary Ann and Ken for making my house searching trip that much easier with all your helpful advice and introductions. You made me feel so at home and welcome. I hope to return soon (with my husband) to finalise the purchase.

Dear Ken and Mary Ann. After an almost too exhausting day walking in the mountains (30km) we were very happy to be warmly welcomed by you in a nicely warm living room. And what a wonderful dinner and breakfast we enjoyed with all these jams and juices. We are heading for Granada today so it's only one night in the Casa, next time a bit longer. Thanks so much.
Hiets and Anike. Belgium. Jan 2007
What can we say. We came last min with no notice. You've both made us feel so welcome, your hospitality has been wonderful. The people in the village have opened doors to us at every point and we've eaten chocolate, gambas, serrano, cheese, the works. Our Christmas has been a REAL CRACKER. Thank you so much for everything. All the best and a Merry Christmas. See you again.

Thanks so much to Ken and Mary Ann for setting up such a wonderful place to stay in this area of Andalucia. The meals Mary Ann puts together are absoulutely delicious, especially the Paella, and thanks to Ken for coming to El Carreto to lead us in. If you have time, its a long drive from here, do visit the Cuevas de la Pileta near Ronda. 30,000 year's old cave paintings. It was worth the drive.
Ruth Carraher and Paul Muto. Reno Nevada USA. Nov 2006
Thank you both once again for your hospitality. It was wonderful to see our own house completed and to get the keys last week. At last our dream has come true. This is a truely beautiful place to live and we can't wait to come back and return your kindness in our own home. Antonio's bar is the best place for Gin & Tonic's but be careful how you walk back to Casa Azul after drinking a few of them. The horse riding in the mountains, on beautiful Andalucian horses must go down as one of our best all time experiences. Try it. Hasta Luego.
Sally, Ade and Teddy. London. Oct 2006

Ken and Mary Ann, thank you for being great hosts and helping us to have a wonderful time. After serching the internet and knowing very little about the area we have loved the scenery, tranquility, walks and ski-ing. This place has forced us to slow down our usual 'London' pace of life and really relax. If only we didn't have to go home so soon. Thanks for everything.
Andy and Kathryn. London. April 2006
We have spent seven lovely days! We haven't done very much (certainly not painting) but we have really enjoyed the peace and beauty of the area and your fantastic hospitality. Thankyou for making us so welcome and ensuring we had a very enjoyable holiday. If Kens weather forcasting had been half as good as Mary Ann's cooking it would have been perfect. I think we saw half of Spains annual rainfall in 48 hours. Anyway you can't expect much better from a Spur's supporter.

We didn't know what to expect of our walking holiday when we left Finland. It could easily have been raining all week but all we had was ten drops. The experience far surpassed our expectations. We have enjoyed the varied nature and thrilled to see the great amounts of olives, oranges etc ripening on the trees. We have enjoyed the food with a special thankyou for the peallea. We have felt ever so welcome, thanks for everything.
